PRIVACY POLICY

In order to ensure the protection of client Personal Information, LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. (LWC) has developed the following privacy policies.

PRINCIPLE 1. ACCOUNTABILITY LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. will protect the confidentiality of all personal information under its control. Questions regarding the handling of personal information are welcomed. Clients may ask to view their personal information retained by LifeWorks! Consulting Inc.

PRINCIPLE 2. IDENTIFYING PURPOSE LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. collects Personal Information to provide clients with one to one counseling services.

PRINCIPLE 3. CONSENT Prior to sharing any client information with another party, LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. will obtain a signed written consent from the client.

PRINCIPLE 4. LIMITED COLLECTION Only personal information relevant to the client’s activities with LWC will be collected and stored. Personal Information may include: name, address, phone number, gender, preferred official language of service, education and training, and work experience.

PRINCIPLE 5. LIMITED USE, DISCLOSURE AND RETENTION LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. does not use personal information for any purpose other than for which it was collected, except with the consent of the client or as required by law. Client files will be kept for as long as necessary to provide service to clients. All personal information will be kept for a minimum of 12 months after the file has been closed and will then be destroyed.

PRINCIPLE 6. CHALLENGING COMPLIANCE Any compliance challenge regarding LifeWorks! Consulting Inc. privacy policy and procedure manual should be directed to: lwc@lifeworks.bc.ca or in writing to the Privacy Officer. If the LWC Privacy Officer, or a designated individual, is unable to address the individual’s concerns, the issue can be referred to the Privacy Commissioner of British Columbia.
